Jen Craft is excited to join Endurance PDX, bringing with her expertise in orthopedics, bike fitting, and women’s health. Born and raised in the Midwest, Jen graduated with her clinical doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Cincinnati in 2009, after earning her bachelor's degree in life sciences from Miami University. Armed with enough John Muir quotes to provide comfort and reassurance, Jen and her family relocated to Portland from Cincinnati in 2016 in pursuit of a more outdoor way of life. So far the adventure has been well worth the risk.
Jen grew up riding bikes as a little girl in Ohio with pink streamers as end plugs and a flower basket on her handlebars. Through college and her twenties she utilized bikes as a casual mode of transportation. When she moved to the PNW Jen was inspired by the strong cycling community in Portland to make the switch from the indoor cycling classes she loved for fitness, to getting out and on the road. Being highly food and coffee motivated, most of her riding is planned around where she can stop for a drink or snack aroundtown. In 2017 Jen started combining her love of camping with cycling to create her first bike touring trip around the San Juan Islands of Washington.
As a Physical Therapist, Jen appreciates an individualized approach to treatment. She has taken extensive continuing education in manual therapy, trigger point therapy, kinesiotaping, and is currently pursuing training in pelvic floor rehabilitation. Additionally Jen is able to assess and treat musculoskeletal disorders of the jaw such as clenching, grinding, and TMJ. She enjoys working with athletes of all levels and interests, especially everyday cyclists and runners. Jen is also a certified Pilates instructor with specialized training in working with women during and after pregnancy. She is looking forward to expanding her practice to include working with female cyclists as a pelvic floor rehab specialist.
